welcome

Welcome to the 2021 edition of our annual women’s conference entitled “Lessons Learned.”  For many of you, this conference has become an annual tradition and we are grateful that you continue to include us on your calendar each year.  Once again, our hope in the Lord is to bless you with an intensive study of God’s Word in a context of warm fellowship with other like-minded sisters in the faith.

Our guest speaker is a very important part of that tradition.  You have grown to know and love Bible-teacher Susan Heck over the years and many of you rely on her thoughtful and faithful exposition of the Scriptures in your personal study.  Susan has prepared a series of studies aimed at elucidating timeless biblical lessons to be learned from key figures throughout redemptive history.  The apostle Paul reminds us that these things were written for our admonition, “upon whom the ends of the ages have come” (1 Corinthians 10:11).
Whether in your home or at the church, around the block or around the world, this conference is thoughtfully prepared to bless you with an annual biblical booster-shot of applied theology to encourage you as you face the circumstances that the Lord has sovereignly laid before you for your good.  May He illumine your path and direct your steps according to His word.

So prepare your mind, humble your heart, and take heed to God’s Word.  Listen prayerfully and ask the Lord to work in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.  Enjoy the wonderful fellowship and food.  Be sure to thank those who are serving you.  Most of all, thank the Lord for His goodness to us through the study of His word together.  I pray “that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light” (Colossians 1:9-12).

For Christ and His Church,

Pastor Marc

Biography

Susan Heck, and her husband Doug have been married since 1975. Susan has been involved in Women’s Ministries for about 40 years. This included teaching Bible Studies, counseling, and heading up Ladies with the Master women’s ministry at Grace Community Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma (www.gccoftulsa.org).

Susan is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (biblicalcounseling.com) since 2003.  She is also the author of With the Master Bible study series for ladies. She also has authored; A Call to Discipleship, Putting-Off Life Dominating Sins;  A Call to Scripture Memory; A Message of Assurance: Twenty Tests for God's Children; What Does a Spirit Filled Marriage Look Like?;  and The Liberating Gospel.  Susan’s teaching ministry is an outgrowth of her memorization work on the Bible. She has memorized the entire New Testament along with several portions of the Old Testament which include Jonah and several of the Psalms and is now journeying her way through the Old Testament. To God be the glory!

Susan Heck has two grown children, and seven grandchildren. Both children and their spouses are in full time ministry. Because of the enthusiastic ladies who attend the Bible Studies that Susan teaches, and because of the life changes, Susan has been invited to speak to a number of ladies groups, both nationally and internationally. Susan loves to minister her gift of teaching to women.
