English Version

The Bible says one day soon you will stand alone before God to give an account for your life. The Bible says, “it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27)

Are you absolutely sure that you will escape the wrath of God on Judgment Day?

What will you do about your sin?  You have broken the laws of God intentionally, repeatedly, and without remorse.   Your sin has “separated you from your God” (Isaiah 59:2) and “you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath” (Romans 2:5). You can never be a good enough person to get to heaven. Asking for forgiveness is NOT enough. Growing up in a church will NOT get you there.  Asking Jesus into your heart is NOT a biblical response to the gospel.  Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior is NOT how you get saved.  Your sin must be paid for, and the Bible says that the payment for your sin is death (Romans 6:23).
Your soul should be, by far, the most important concern to you right now.  You will spend all of the eternity in either Heaven or Hell.  Jesus said, “for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?  Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37). Don’t give up your soul worrying about work, school, or money.  Don’t give up your soul to have pleasure, entertainment, hobbies, or time with your friends.  There is simply nothing more important than your soul.
Do not harden your heart.  Do not put down or disregard this means of your escape!  Follow the Lord’s instructions from His Word and “be converted that your sins may be blotted out”
(Acts 3:19). Repent and believe the gospel!

Face Your Wickedness

God will judge you according to your works (Revelation 20:11-15). By the world’s standards, many believe themselves to be good.  However, it is not by the world’s standards that you will be judged. The standard by which you will be judged on Judgment Day is the perfect and holy Law of God.

The Bible describes the Law of God as a mirror designed to reflect your true condition before God “that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God” (Romans 3:19). Be honest with yourself and take a look in the mirror of His ten commandments.

1) “You shall have no other gods before Me”

Do you love God supremely above all else demonstrated by doing all that He commands and by avoiding all that He hates?  Have you loved Him with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, all your strength, all of the time?  Would you forsake all to be His disciple? (Luke 14:33, Psalm 135:15-18)

2) “You shall not make for yourself any graven image”

Is your concept of God a product of your imagination or based on God’s Word? Is your god tolerant of sin? Powerless to have radically changed your life? A god that forgives despite your ongoing rebellion against Him? (Jeremiah 2:11-13)

3) “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain”

The Bible calls this blasphemy, and it is a death penalty offense against God. Even Hitler’s name does not get used as a curse word to express anger or disgust. You can also blaspheme God by professing to be a Christian when you don’t live like one, or wearing that cross around your neck while living in your sin. (Romans 2:17-24)

4) “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy”

Have you always set aside the Lord’s day to worship Him with His people in the way that He has described in His Word? (Hebrews 10:25)

5) “Honor your father and your mother”

This command is broken with disobedience, disrespect, rebellion, neglect, indifference, and with being ungrateful, unloving, or uncaring. (Ephesians 6:2-3)

6) “You shall not murder”

Have you been angry? Jesus said, “out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness” and so on (Mark 7:21-22). Murder begins in the heart with your anger according to Matthew 5:22. Do you see that you are a murderer in God’s eyes because of your anger? What about the cold-hearted self-indulgence that leads to premeditated physical murder through abortion? You face the judgment of God for even approving of such things! (Romans 1:32)

7) “You shall not commit adultery”

Jesus also said, “But I tell you that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). A physical or lustful desire for someone as well as any sexual activity outside of a God-designed marriage between one man and one woman is a death penalty offense against God.

8) “You shall not steal”

Taking something that doesn’t belong to you makes you a thief. Did you know that you can steal time at work, steal wages from your boss, steal by cheating on a test, by cheating on your taxes, and by not giving what is due? You can also steal from God by failing to pay tithes of your income. Thieves will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:10).

9) “You shall not bear false witness”

In all your years of life, how many lies have you told? You are a liar and the Bible says, “all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone” (Revelation 21:8). You may not think that deceit is serious sin, but God certainly does!

10) “You shall not covet”

You shall not desire anything that belongs to someone else. No “covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God” (Ephesians 5:5).
You were created to live for God’s glory and yet you have repeatedly broken all of His commands and lived life for yourself in rebellion against Him. Do you admit this? If you fail to admit this and fail to recognize the seriousness of your offenses against God, you call Him a liar (1 John 1:10). Judge yourself now that the Lord may not judge you! “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick” (Luke 5:31) and sin is the wicked disease of your soul. Do you feel the weight of guilt and shame for your sin against God?  If not, I fear that your heart is cold toward God and insensitive toward sin. Cry out to God for help and obtain a right understanding of your sinful condition. Your soul is at stake even now. Repent and Believe in the Gospel!

FEAR GOD’S JUDGMENT

You are guilty of sinning against God! You are an enemy of God by your wicked works! Do you understand that God is furious with you because of your sin against Him? “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men” (Romans 1:18).  The wages due your sin are certainly death and damnation.  Perhaps you believe that God will overlook your sin.  Do not mistake God’s patience with you as tolerance for your sin! “The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked” (Nahum 1:3). Your Day of Judgment is quickly approaching.  If you do not turn from your sin and place your faith in Christ alone to save you, you will “drink o f the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.” You will be “tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  And the smoke of [your] torment ascends forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11).

Does this cause you to fear?

It should! “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). God charges men with sin when He says, “there is no fear of God before his eyes” (Psalm 36:1).  In losing the capability to fear God for your many offenses against Him, have you also lost the capability to fear for your own soul? Imagine the torments of Hell where the worm never dies and the fire is never quenched! The Lord says, “do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell” (Matthew 10:28).

God says, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.  Turn, turn from your evil ways!  Why should you die…” (Ezekiel 33:11). Flee from the wrath to come. Flee to God’s only solution. Repent and Believe in the Gospel!

RUN TO THE CROSS!

By His sovereign grace alone, God in His love provides the only solution to your sin problem. It is the wonderful grace of God toward you right now that through His messenger you are able to clearly hear the way of salvation! (Romans 10:14-17)

This is the greatest news you will ever hear!

Jesus Christ is your ONLY hope of Heaven. God took on flesh, made Himself of no reputation, and came as a bond-servant in the likeness of men (Philippians 2:7). While you have lived in sinful rebellion against God, Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. Then in great humility as the blameless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ went to the cross and was crucified. He died there on the cross, bearing the holy wrath of God against sin in the place of those that would Repent and Believe in the Gospel.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:5-6).

CHRIST IS THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE FOR SIN

He was buried, God raised Him from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:4), and He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs (Acts 1:3). There will be a resurrection for you as well, either to everlasting life, or to everlasting contempt (Daniel 12:2). Will you pay for your own sins in Hell? Or will you turn from your sin and flee to Christ? You must Repent and Believe in the Gospel!

REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL!

Repentance and Faith are distinct and yet inseparable. Genuine saving faith always involves true repentance. The only saving response to the gospel is repentant faith in Christ. Merely living a “good life” will not save you. Your good works will not save you. God views them as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). Living a more “spiritual life” just makes you a greater hypocrite apart from the heart holiness that is the fruit of genuine repentant faith (Matthew 23:25-28). You cannot trust in the “sincerity” of your belief or your sincerity in saying some prayer. The “sinner’s prayer” response to the gospel is taught nowhere in the Bible. The sacraments are not the means by which you obtain right standing before God. It is NOT “as simple as ABC.” Have you not read? Unless you repent, you will perish (Luke 13:3, 5). You must Repent and Believe in the Gospel! Repentance is not only a change of mind or the intention to turn from sin. Repentance is turning from sin “to serve the living and true God” (1 Thessalonians 1:9). Repentance is produced by godly sorrow over sin which leads to salvation, and produces diligence, a clearing of yourself, indignation (a righteous hatred of sin), fear of the Lord, a strong desire (a hunger and thirst for righteousness), zeal (fervency in serving God), and death to your association with sin (2 Corinthians 7:10-11).

REPENTANCE IS...

A TURNING IN YOUR MIND:
Understanding that sin is exceedingly offensive to God and agreeing that God would be right to punish you as a sinner. Because sin is offensive to God, it is now offensive to you.
A TURNING IN YOUR EMOTIONS:
The repentant person is grieved by sin because it offends God. “Blessed are those who mourn (grieve over sin)” (Matthew 5:4)
A TURNING OF YOUR WILL:
A repentant person resolves to turn from sin and cries out to God for deliverance and victory over sin. He is determined and resolved to forsake all sin. True repentance will then bear the fruit of a change in conduct. If there is no change, there is no repentance. “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance…every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matthew 3:8-10)

FAITH IS MORE THAN SIMPLE BELIEF:

When you repent and turn from your sin, you must turn in saving faith to the LORD Jesus Christ. Faith does not merely believe something to be true. You say you believe? “Even the demons believe – and tremble!” (James 2:19) Faith is the vehicle through which we are made right with God (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a God-given understanding of the gospel, the deep, heartfelt conviction of its truth, and a genuine commitment of your life to the Lord. Faith is a wholehearted trust and commitment that is then evidenced by love for Christ in obedience to His commands, and good works which patiently and steadfastly persevere to the end (Colossians 1:23).
SAVING FAITH IS BELIEF IN THE TRUTH:
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). It is profound understanding and belief in the gospel that only comes through God supernaturally opening eyes to see and ears to hear (1 Corinthians 2:14). Cry out to God to see your condition and His solution from His Word.
SAVING FAITH ENGAGES THE HEART:
This God-given understanding makes its way through your mind and into your heart resulting in deep conviction, profound love for Christ, hatred for sin, a desire for righteousness, and a new heart on fire for God! Those with understanding but without this heart change are those that honor Christ “with their lips, but their heart is far from [Him]” (Mark 7:6).
SAVING FAITH IS A COMMITTED TRUST:
Once through the mind and into your heart, saving faith activates your will. This results in a commitment to live under the authority of Jesus Christ having counted the cost to follow him ( Luke 9:23, 14:33). Faith in Christ is moving from reliance upon ourselves to reliance upon Him. You both trust in Him for salvation and trust yourself to Him in all things. Genuine saving faith will then bear the fruit of obedience and a radically changed life. Simply knowing and affirming facts about Christ apart from a grateful, loving obedience to the truth is NOT “believing” in the biblical sense of the word. “He who says, ‘I know Him’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him” (1 John 2:4). “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20).
Jesus Christ says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30) This good news is the grace of God to you. Do not delay! You are not promised another minute of life and God says, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever” (Genesis 6:3).

CRY OUT TO GOD NOW FOR MERCY!

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Will you continue in your sin and rebellion against God after knowing the truth? You are hanging by a thin thread over Hell! Turn from your sin and follow Christ!
