Here We Stand

Rediscovering the Heart of the Reformation

A Free Conference Hosted by Cornerstone Church Orlando

October 23-25, 2026

16th century Europe was emerging from the late Medieval Period and renaissance ideals were rapidly spreading across the continent.   There was renewed interest in learning and study, particularly of ancient or classical texts, and the recent invention of Gutenberg's printing press fueled the exchange of information and ideas.  It was in this atmosphere of social and cultural upheaval that many began to question the iron grip of Rome over the doctrine and practice of the Lord's church.  A simple spark from an obscure augustinian monk would ignite the purifying fire of protestant reformation.  At stake was nothing less than the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Special Guest

Mike Gendron

After 35 years of being a devout Catholic, Mike had a crisis of faith when he began reading the Bible for the first time. He realized the Catholic plan of salvation was diametrically opposed to the Gospel of grace that is so clearly revealed in the Bible. As he continued to abide in God's word, he came to a knowledge of the truth, which began to set him free from the bondage of religious deception. During that time God granted Mike repentance from the Catholic teachings that opposed His Word and he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his all-sufficient Savior and His finished work of redemption. Soon after exchanging his religion for a relationship with his Savior, Mike left the Catholic Church in 1985 for a church where the true Gospel is proclaimed and Scripture is the supreme authority in all matters of faith.

After obtaining a degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Louisiana, Mike worked in the space program at Cape Kennedy, FL for three years. Later, he obtained an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and enjoyed a 17-year career in business.  In 1988, Mike left his career to study at Dallas Theological Seminary.  His love and compassion for Catholics developed into a ministry that would proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ as the all sufficient Savior.  During his last semester at Dallas Theological Seminary, Mike and his wife Jane began inviting Catholics over to their home every Tuesday night to watch a Gospel video and to answer questions. Within three months, they witnessed 17 Catholics exchange their religion for a relationship with the Lord Jesus. Soon after, they began inviting the new converts back on Wednesday nights to be discipled in the truth of God's Word.

The heart and mission of Proclaiming the Gospel ministry has been driven by Mike's deep love and compassion for Roman Catholics who may be where Mike was for most of his live - eternally condemned and not even aware of it.

For 35 years, Mike has been directing the ministry of Proclaiming the Gospel and preaching throughout the world including seminaries, churches and conferences in New Zealand, Australia, Philippines, Myanmar, Croatia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Israel, Turkey, and Canada. For 20 years he has had the privilege of preaching at The Masters Seminary Chapel and The Masters Academy International (TMAI).  Mike is the author of two books, Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel, and 8 Gospel tracts.  His ministry also uses several social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube to equip and encourage the saints to be effective witnesses and to contend earnestly for the exclusivity and purity of the Gospel.  American Gospel TV has produced 10 episodes that feature Mike's extensive teaching on Roman Catholicism.  His monthly newsletter now reaches over 30,000 subscribers throughout the world.
